London Holidays: No Subway but a Whole Foods around the corner

After a good 12 hours stuck in Washington Dulles because of my flight getting cancelled (THANK YOU UNITED AIRLINES), i arrived in London at 11pm on December 24th for my family reunion. I guess just in time for the opening of a bottle of Champagne and the gifts getting unwrapped.
My mother's friends let us stay in their apartment in Kensington for the week. Bruno who lives here until the Spring is the director of photography on the new Harry Potter movie shooting outside London. Pretty cool uh!?
Today the 25th, we went out in the London rain hoping to get some tourist action but no, no no. No subway or bus service. Actually just like last night from the airport. I had to take a cheap $120 ride in a black cab to the apartment. Anyway so today not much to do except going around the hood, walking around and catching up on DVD's. Since Bruno was nominated for an Oscar for his work on Amelie Poulain, he gets all the dvd screeners, meaning he has all the good stuff still showing in the theaters and nominated for the golden globes.
Kensington's Palace gate - The street where we're staying.
Across the Street from our apartment: HYDE PARK
There is a Whole Foods in Kensington!

White Party / Twilo Reunion

Last Saturday (Dec.15th 2007), after my set at Riv 105. I was nicely invited to an apartment party out in Brooklyn. My good friend Hector Cruz drove us there in the middle of a snow storm. We got there around 5am . And yes everybody was wearing white, the sound system was tight, the music reminiscent of the good Twilo days , the DJ booth was one of the best booth i played (all decked out with BOZAK gear) and the lighting system was amazing(twilo look alike disco ball + lighted disco dance floor). Dean and Dave the party organizers had put together one of the best party i went to in years. Only 40 to 50 people.
I actually ended up playing a deep set (i wished i had my twilo classics with me) , i left around 10am and the place was of course still going. Great people, Great party. Hopefully next year when Dave and Dean throw their annual white party, i'll get invited again ;)
